The Cooper Design Space is pleased to announce the acquisition of the hanging sculpture by Kimberly Brooks , as a permanent fixture in the lobby entrance. The exhibition “Thread and Bone” is extended to July 24th, 2015. The exhibition, a collaboration between the DoArt Foundation and Sage Projects, focused on two dimensional video work, painting, collage and along with textiles and sculpture. The sculpture “The Ephemerality of Manner”, is 96 x 104 welded steel, hangs from the ceiling. The legs and a hoop skirt silhouette offer a dynamic balance and energy to the lobby which is crossed by tens of thousands on the leading edge of fashion industry each year. Cooper’s regular art installations are an integral part of the creativity that thrives in the building. A closing reception and performance will be announced in July.
