Job Description: Insight Marketing & PR Manager
The following is a job description to aid in the recruitment for the position of Insight Marketing & PR Manager at Black Box Distribution.
Black Box Distribution is the exclusive US distributor and licensee for the lifestyle apparel brand Insight. Based at our Carlsbad, California offices and with a mobile office in LA, the Insight Marketing Manager will report to the US Insight Brand Manager and will become responsible for all Insight marketing activities in the US - including the management of a marketing coordinator and interns.
Primary responsibilities of the Insight Marketing & PR Manager:

·         Create and implement US marketing strategies based on global brand objectives for both the endemic and non-endemic market (3 year marketing strategy, 1 year tactical plan)

·         Responsible for US budget planning, managing and control

·         Understand individual target market demographics/psychographics/needs

·         Ensure global brand imaging/positioning consistency

·         Direct US visual marketing activities with both Australia-generated and US-produced

content: POP, Advertising, Web

·         Develop web marketing strategies and build social events calendar

·         Develop and execute retailer support initiative/calendars as agreed with the Brand

Manager and LA Store Manager

·         Manage strategic PR opportunities, partnerships, and media outreach

·         Media buys for US – in coordination with other Black Box media buys

·         Work in conjunction with the Fashion Showrooms and fashion/contemporary markets

·         Align partnerships with key influencers, tastemakers, bloggers, etc.

·         Produce regional events and territory specific initiatives in accordance to calendar

Qualifications:

·         At least 5 years experience as sales or marketing manager role in a street/fashion or surf/lifestyle brands

·         At least 5 years experience selling or marketing women’s apparel

·         A strong passion for, and extensive network in, the surf culture

·         A solid network in both LA/NY fashion/contemporary/lifestyle markets a plus

·         A strong understanding for social media platforms and digital marketing

·         Alternatively at least 5 years experience as a (junior) manager in an advertising

agency, communications agency or marketing agency focusing on fashion trends.

Other industries may be considered depending on the candidates’ qualifications.

·         Preferably a college level degree in Marketing
