Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant Temporary is responsible for the full-cycle General Ledger accounting function, including the maintenance and reconciliation of accurate balance sheet accounts, managing an accurate and efficient workflow process.
Job Expectations:
  •   Reconciling General Ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  •   Preparing journal entries and accompanying analysis
  •   Performing detailed account reconciliations
  •   Assisting with month and year end closing
  •   Analyzing accounts, journal entries, subsidiary ledgers, and other accounting documents for accuracy and completeness
  •   Assisting with other accounting department functions as required
  •   Assisting with preparation for any financial and governmental audits and reporting.
  •   Assist with preparing monthly management and board reporting presentations.
  •   Assisting with special projects as requested
  •   Support the Controller with special projects
  •   Must be available full time business hours for the next 3-4 months
    Skills & Experience
  •   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  •   Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting related work experience
  •   Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  •   Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  •   Strong interpersonal and organization skills and able to work well with a team
  •   Self-starter who is action oriented and possess a strong sense of urgency
  •   Proficient in Microsoft Office products with strong Excel skills required
  •   Experience using Microsoft Dynamics a plus

J Brand has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor (Temporary) to take ownership and handle the full-cycle Accounts Receivable process for our assigned group of businesses within the Finance Department.
Responsibilities:
  •   Assuretimelycollectionofmoniesduetocorporation.
  •   Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards.
  •   Assuretimelyandaccurateinvoicing.
  •   Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly
  •   Assure that the companies standard template regarding invoice sample is in place for every customer
  •   Conduct credit checks on all customer, establish and manage limits
  •   Analyze current processes and procedures, recommending new policies/ standards where needed
  •   AssisttheControllerindevelopingandimplementingpoliciesandprocedures
  •   Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
    Qualifications:
  •   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline, or years of experience may be considered in lieu of education
  •   Five years’ experience in credit and collections
  •   Managerial skills and experience are a must
  •   MS Office: Intermediate proficiency in Excel including v-lookups, pivot tables and macros is required
  •   Multi-state sales and use tax experience, along with a strong understanding of GAAP, is required
  •   Knowledge and understanding of D&B reporting is required
  •   KnowledgeofMSDynamicsaplus
  •   Apparel industry a HUGE plus
