Help Wanted at Ted Baker
Objective:
The US
Associate Sales Guardian (assistant account exec) is responsible for supporting
the Sales Teams in entrusting Ted’s brand integrity and relationships within
the marketplace. This person will ensure
that all logistics and coordination with product placement in each door is
seamless and timely and will help maintain strong relationships with our
trustees. Ted team members enjoy people; they have a passion for the product
and are results orientated. Role will require travel. The associate sales
guardian should have the desire & ambition to graduate into a lead sales
guardian position. This role will provide a fantastic opportunity to deal with
specialty stores and assist in presentations to major department stores.
Key Responsibilities:

Help monitor sales and overall business
trends for Men’s Phormal and Mainline areas

Support coordination with product placement
and trustee appointments during key market times

Coordinate sample preparation for Senior
Guardians for travels and in the local showrooms
-
Enter orders for each seasonal market
-
Liaise with Allocations/Planning department
to ensure drop/ship and procedures are in place for particular product category
-
Follow up with trustees on sales trend and
customer response
-
Help identify target markets for collection
Tools of the Trade /
Experience:
-
2-3 years of related wholesale experience,
preferably with a men’s background (suiting and sportswear) Experience is
desirable but not mandatory. Tell Ted what you can do!

Familiarity with department store business
(Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales, Dillard’s
-
Experience with working with online accounts
(Zappos, Department Store ecommerce, etc.)

Additional
Responsibilities:
Store
visits
- Conduct product knowledge seminars
- Supporting sales growth by branching stores
- Forging relationships with regional and
district managers at key locations.
- Observing stock takes, strategic planning and
store visits
Preparation
for Trade Shows
- Booking appointments
- Preparing the collection
- Trade show follow up; ensuring all written
orders are sized
- Managing exchanges
- Building relationships with specialty stores
- Following up on orders
- Creating line sheets
- Driving re-orders
- Enter orders into the system
- Selling to trustees at the trade shows
Showroom
- Showroom standards and merchandising
- Sample tracking
- Spreading the word of Ted
- Liaising with shipping on fallout & style
code changes
- Updating contact lists
- Make a hit list of stores Ted needs to target
- Acquire new contacts
- Network with other brands and knowledge of
other brands
- Weekly selling reports
- Liaise with specialists
- Keep a monthly spreadsheet of each store and
track their numbers
